Life update
Its been a busy week in the Wright household with Easter and lots of organisation for upcoming birthdays.
I’ve been feeling pretty down that I can’t manage to keep on top of the house like I used to… now I know I have an extra set of egs causing hurricane scale destruction, and I’m struggling a little with my hormone balance but really this all feels like excuses I’m using not to deliver…. and I know, I should be kinder to myself but this is not an excuse! I created a new monthly cleaning sheet that helps me to deliver the minimal expected tasks and anything above I will reward myself for. I’m going to test it during May and if it works, I’ll launch it as a free download.
I also made a cute gift for a friend who gets married, she loved it so much. I’m debating making them to sell… but not sure I can commit the time given how down I’ve been feeling about the house but if I can get on top of it I’ll perhaps take some bookings later in the year.
Me and my husband swapped non working days this week, so on top of the bank holidays it really screwed up my brain and the routine. I feel totally all over the place and am looking forward to getting back to some sort of normality this week.
Alphabet decluttering
Alphabet Decluttering update, this week is the letter P
Ideas: Products, Pictures, Plants, Pots, Pans, Papers, Pantry items, Personal Care products, Pillows, Plastic containers, Purses, Plants, Patterns for sewing, Prescriptions/ Meds, Project supplies, Phone accessories, Pet supplies.
This week I didn’t manage any decluttering at all, it was so chaotic. I’m a little disappointed with myself as this is the first week since I started that I didn’t get at least 1 thing decluttered. This means I owe myself a P decluttering and I’ll backdate the page when I get around to P next week.
Meal Planning
Meal planning is going really well using AI. I feel like the prompt is getting closer to being ready to share. I am going to test it next week using ChatGPT instead of google gemini to see if I get better results.
We didn’t use the meal plan from AI this week as it was so busy and we cleared out the fridge as I want to deep clean it next week. We had Chilli con carne, pizza, egg free carbonara, Marry Me chicken orzo, lamb peanut butter curry, fajitas and air fryer doner kebab. I’ll post my recipes next week for you.
I’m planning a big food audit in the next few weeks as I want to cut bread out of my diet and start eating a little more healthily. I’m feeling and seeing the effects of a bad diet since going back to work and I want to try and reverse some of the effects. I also want to try to cut back on breastfeeding, so I need all the help I can get.
Spring cleaning
This weeks spring cleaning was our wardrobes again. Over the Easter weekend, we dug out all of our summer clothes and have a huge black bag for vinted when I get a spare second. Dan wants me to donate what we have, and I’m getting quite overwhelmed so I might bite the bullet and just be rid. Its been a while since I took anything from the decluttering box to charity so I’m aiming to do that soon. Cricket season makes this extra hard as I need to prioritise so me time around the chores and childcare.
Weekly round up
If I could sum up the last week in one word, it would be “carnage”, but looking forward to things to come!
Love, Jo-Anne x
