Well… today started off as an unexpected snow day! Amelia’s swimming lesson was cancelled so we had a lovely day at home!
Amelia’s sleep and routine has been all over the place for the last week, I think she is getting 8 more teeth so hopefully they come through soon! So when it hit 10.30 and she was already ready for her nap, I decided not to fight her! In the end she slept for 2.5 hours!
While she was asleep I took a lovely walk in the snow with Ted then set to work emptying the van of all my decluttering for vinted which I’ve been collecting for a year.
While she was sleeping I also managed to list a couple of bags of clothes over on my vinted (linked here) profile before making lunch! I managed to list a loads of things on vinted throughout the day and already sold a couple of bits, making us over £40! I’ve set myself a deadline and anything still here will be going to the charity shop.
After lunch, I decided to tackle the loft! I managed to get it reorganised and tidied. It has taken me months of chipping away around Amelia and her needs to clear out the loft so today feels like a huge achievement! Everything is grouped and stored in categories, like camping, crafting, baby and christmas. I’m FINALLY ready to store the van bedding for winter! I’m months behind where I usually am so I’m going to leave them out in the house for a few days to make sure they are properly dry before storing in case they picked up any moisture with the cold weather. Our cushions were bespoke made for our bed so they were quite expensive so the last thing I want is them going mouldy.
Still a couple of jobs to do up here; a few bags still to sort through, the Ikea Samla boxes need labels, some bits to put up for sale, cleaning that awful spray insulation foam off the beams… but it feels so much better already seeing the floor space and I’m really proud of how much we’ve managed while juggling a hectic social calendar and entertaining Amelia.
Tomorrow I’m going to sort through our bedding and duvets, have a clear out and vac pack anything we will keep. They’re going to be stored in our suitcases which already have an allocated space in the loft.
I’ve pulled down the xmas pjs, jumpers and bedding to wash ready for December – they are in colour sorted piles for the washer as we speak!
My van is now almost emptied of all the bits I’d been storing in there and by next week should be winter AND back to work ready, once the battery is working again – what a terrifying thought!
Hope you had a great day, no matter what you got up to!
