Life Update
This weeks been a slow week as I was hit by some sort of weird flu. Usually I’d try and work through an illness like this but I decided I needed to take time for myself, listen to my body and let it recover. Fueled by hot lemon and manuka honey, I spent THREE DAYS in bed resting which is totally unheard of for me and goodness it did me the world of good. By Friday I was feeling a little more human and ready to leave the house.
The website went under an administrative switch last week so I’ve also been dealing with some fall out of this but I think we’re in a much better place. While fixing it last weekend, I managed to make a couple of upgrades to some pages to make them look a bit prettier and scheduled over 80 posts into my diary over the next few months!
Alphabet Decluttering
Alphabet Decluttering update, this week is the letter F!
Ideas: Fridge, Freezer, Furniture, Flooring, Frames, Files, Folders, Food, Fabric, Footwear, Fragrances, Figurines, Flowers (fake ones), First aid kits for out of date items
This week I went for freezer, and while I was on I did my freezer audit. Now this wont declutter my home and I didn’t brave binning my out of date breast milk (which I promised myself I would) but I do feel better for getting it done and knowing we have quite a few meals in there to use while we were sick.
Since I was ill, I also sorted out the first aid box, and made a shopping list of supplies to pick up at Boots – and before you ask, no I dont have money to burn, I’ll share a separate post about the Boots recycling app that you’re going to love!
Now something that will declutter the house more obviously is footwear… my husband will tell you I have a lot of shoes, but actually he had just as many… he just forgot he had them! During C decluttering you’ll remember I mentioned a chest full of shoes, so that was next on my list but being ill we didn’t get to it. So his shoes are safe for a little while longer haha.
Food Organisation
Meal planning went to pot this week while we were ill, we are lucky I managed to make a freezer audit so pulled quite a few home made meals from the freezer so we’ll use the AI generated meals for next week. I also found an app that looks like its AI based to give a trial.
As I mentioned earlier, this week I FINALLY managed to do my freezer audit. I’ve not written it on my template yet but I have it all voice noted ready to go, and I’ve finalised the post I promised about freezer organisation while I was at it. Tech is still my limit so I’ll work out how to share my template with you very soon.
Spring Cleaning
This week I managed to tick the dog beds off my spring cleaning list, and boy did they need it. Ted’s beds are all covered in throws, and I’m disgusted at how stinky they were. So they are all lovely and refreshed and of course he is refusing to use them because they smell nice.
Overall a pretty quiet week from me but hopefully next week will be more productive.
Love, Jo-Anne x
P.S. I’ve set up a ‘Buy me a coffee‘ link which can be found here if you find my content useful ❤️
