Life Update

The weekend was wonderful, celebrating our nephews first birthday and we went for a lovely family meal with cake.

Sunday was mothers day in the UK and I not only managed a lie in but some alone time to bake so we could have afternoon tea for lunch.

The working week was interesting running on broken sleep, especially when Amelia decided it was a great idea to get up at 3.30am for the day. I’m hopeful the last molar will come through soon and she might go back to sleeping all night… but that’s probably wishful thinking!

On Friday, we went for a lovely walk at the beach with Ted and some friends and played in the park. It was lovely to make the most of the nice weather, rounded off with my weekly shopping trip.

Aphabet Decluttering

Alphabet Decluttering update, this week is the letter M.

Ideas: Memory box, mirrors, makeup, maternity clothes, manuals, memorabilia, movies, music, mugs, misc.

This week I finally decluttered something I should have a very long time – my breast milk. I’ve been clinging on with the thought I’d use this for baths but the reality is we have never used milk in her baths and always forget, and I’m running out of space for meals I’ve prepped for Amelia so it was time to go. Most of the milk went out of date in December and January, and its taken me this long to be emotionally ready to let go. I’ve felt so guilty over how many little bellies it could have fed but I must remember Amelia refused to drink it and all of our local milk banks were full.

Next I decluttered Mcdonalds sauces from my fridge. I appear to have collected a million (slight exageration) bbq sauce pots which were all out of date so they’ve gone.

Finally, we have a few mirrors I’ve been meaning to sell so I’m going to load those onto facebook marketplace tonight.

Meal Planning

After cleaning out the breastmilk from the freezer I was able to rearrange things so I can see whats in there much better. The freezer is now organised into categories and will be so much easier for documenting.

This weeks evening meal plan at the moment looks like this;

  • Monday – salmon & rice for us, fish pie for Amelia (cos I defrosted it by accident 🤣)
  • Tuesday – brocolli mac & cheese or marry me chicken
  • Wednesday – lamb & halloumi kebabs
  • Thursday – bolognese chilli or curry
  • Friday – Takeaway / Pizza
  • Saturday – bolognese chilli or curry
  • Sunday – dinner

So far testing out my prompt is going really well, theres a few refinements I need to make for our personal needs but it will be ready to share very soon!

Spring Cleaning

This weeks spring cleaning went to pot, to say the very least. We’ve spent the majority of the week sleep deprived but I made sure to prioritise opening the doors this weekend. Hopefully the sun will keep shining so we can let more fresh air into our lives.

We also rearranged the downstairs layout after starting our living room project last week so more to come on that next week when I get some energy back in the tank.

Week 14 Round Up

Overall another lovely and organised week at Casa Wright. See you all next week for decluttering N!

Love, Jo-Anne x
