Life update

Saturday started off spectacularly… an unexpected full nights sleep and a lie in! Of course, that knocked all of our other plans out of sync but you win some and lose some! We went to our local Lloyds branch to sort out some issues with our account switch and realised that we would have to take a trip into the city center instead. We collected the last of the holiday toiletries we’d need that I ordered on Monday from Savers, and headed to Amelia’s swimming lesson… only for her to fall asleeo on the way so instead we took her for a trip into thd city center to sort out the banking issue. In the afternoon I whizzed around and collected our parcels, and made a quick click and collect order for Asda on Sunday morning. We rounded off a successful day, with Amelia’s favourite chinese takeaway… noodles, rice, gravy and chips.

On Sunday, we made an early start at asda – now I love the slots before the shops open because the roads are so clear but you dont need to set a horrifically early alarm to do it. I also love the parenting club on asda rewards and the Pampers nappies are always on a good deal. Amelia had a friends birthday party and we spent the rest of the day getting organised for a busy week ahead.

On Monday, our car had to go back to the garage to get fixed and my holiday clothes arrived… but they were all awful and have to go back. I’m having a bit of an identity crisis with my clothes at the moment so I don’t think that helped.

On Tuesday, I headed to the office. Amelia was back to her normal self too which was a relief. I tested out a new app called Cozi – a shared family calendar app, and organised childcare for the year with my sister and Mam.

Ive also ordered some mosquito stickers for Amelia amd me for holiday – you can get some good deals ordering directly from the company too. I’ll do a full run down of our holiday essentials when we get home including a packing list.

Wednesday Amelia gifted us with another full nights sleep so I went to the office like a new woman, feeling full of energy. Its amazing what a full nights sleep can do!

On Thursday we sorted our bank account switch and did some financial planning… something we’ve not done since before Amelia was born and it felt so good to get a plan in place.

Good Friday, of course meant fish pie. This year I cheated and used frozen fish and I remembered why I never do this… and will never do it again haha. I am not a huge fan of fish to start wigh and the texture of frozen fish is really not my cup of tea.

Alphabet decluttering

Alphabet Decluttering update, this week is the letter O

Ideas: Outdoors, Odds & Ends, office supplies, Old Tech, Out of date food, Out of date information (like instruction manuals for things you don’t have), Outerware (coats, gilets etc.), Organisers, Ornaments

This week I cheated a little and done some decluttering in “our rooms”.

We’ve both had a huge cull of our clothes while sorting out holiday and summer clothes so I have more bags for vinted, friends and the charity shop. I’ve also sifted through Amelia’s clothes and her boxes of the next few sizes so they’re all organised ready. I even found her some newer clothes in her current size.

Meal Planning

Meal plan went really well, this week we had;

  • Monday – toad in the hole
  • Tuesday – chicken orzo
  • Wednesday – sausage casserole
  • Thursday – pizza
  • Friday – fish pie
  • Saturday – pesto pasta
  • Sunday – family lunch

Weekly Round Up

Overall another very busy week in the Wright household!

P.S. I’ve set up a ‘Buy me a coffee‘ link which can be found here if you find my content useful ❤️
