Well hi there, strangers! It’s been a while, hasn’t it! I’ve been so deep into life, I haven’t had a second to myself!
So what’s been going on:
- As you may remember I started a new job at work in September and its been amazing – it was just the change I needed!
- Ted had about a month of really awful health-related issues and bad luck, but is now finally more himself and occasionally playing again – thank goodness for Pet Insurance!
- We celebrated Amelia’s second birthday, which was so beautiful. We had a little party at a local sports center and lots of family time.
- We kicked off the Christmas celebrations early, and we’ve been Dan’s work Christmas party, seen Santa at Alnwick, picked up our Christmas Tree, and visited Whithouse Farm where we lucky to see the big man again
- We’ve stocked up the freezer with meals and had an amazing delivery from Lancashire Lamb Boxes
- Between craziness, I started creating myself a planner to keep organised and I’m absolutely in LOVE. It’s got all of my fave quick sheets I use on a daily basis and space for a monthly spread. If I can work out how to PDF it for you all, I’ll release it very soon as a printable!
So what’s on the cards for the rest of December
Well first of all, I know this sounds ultra crazy (even for me), but I’ve started planning Christmas 2026 🙈 I know, I know… Christmas 2025 isn’t even finished, but the magic of Christmas with a toddler AND being fully done with planning so early, has given me the bug to get even more organised at my leisure so I’ve been keeping little notes and testing things out ready for next year when she’ll remember even more.
I’ve started really simple, and set up a savings pot and spreadsheet – Decluttering really hit a slump in the second half of the year and all that extra cash we made (over £600) made shopping so much less stressful that I want to do it again. I’ve loaded my van full of bits we have decluttered, and I’m hoping over the christmas break to get everything loaded to vinted and organised to sell… otherwise I’ll be looking for a vinted reseller to buy it in bulk.
Next I set up a little instagram chat channel to share ideas as I think of them – its currently a bit lonely, and just me and my Mam but I’m hoping more people join in 🤣 I’ve shared a couple of tips for things to do on boxing day in there too.
Next up for December, we have a few more little family trips to Brood, Elf school and Beamish Hall over the next 2 weeks. Then its just down to present wrapping! I can’t believe we’re almost there!
Thats a wrap!
I hope you’ve had a lovely December so far and are feeling nicely organised for Christmas! I live for Christmas magic and this year has been the best one yet, its so true what they say about being a parent at Christmas
Love, Jo-Anne x
